Leadership Oklahoma picks 51 for Class 23

"Leadership Oklahoma's Class XXIII is an outstanding blend of leaders from a variety of fields who will contribute a wealth of knowledge to our discussions on important Oklahoma issues."
Bill Burgess Jr., chairman of the organization's board of directors, noted that "Leadership Oklahoma is very excited about the 51 people chosen for this year's program."
The twenty-third annual class selected from applicants throughout the state includes from Tulsa Kelli Bailey, Leigh Goodson, Jessica Hargis, Joe Nicholson, Warren Ross, Laurie Tilley and Brad Vincent.
Class members from around the state include Alison Anthony, Sand Springs; Julie Bohannon, Chickasha; Allen Brown, Oklahoma City; Jeff Bryant, Norman; Bret Burns, Amber; Barbara Butner, Norman; Ann Caine, Stillwater; Allyson Carson, El Reno; Michele Claxton, Durant; Jayne Detten, Ponca City; Aaron Fulkerson, Bristow; Garyl Geist, Norman; William Goad, Oklahoma City; Rhonda Godwin, Oklahoma City; Anil Gollahalli, Norman; Bryan Gonterman, Edmond; Tom Gray, Edmond; Matt Guillory, Oklahoma City; Terry Harryman, Edmond; Holly Henson, Edmond; Jeff Houser, Lawton; Dwight Hughes, Freedom; Gail Huneryager, Oklahoma City; Ronnie Irani, Edmond; Mike Jackson, Enid; Katie Kimberling, Norman; Wes Knight, Edmond; Warren Langford, Temple; Jane McDermott, Alva; Shawna McWaters-Khalousi, Oklahoma City; Jeff Moen, Ardmore; Max Myers, Edmond; Kelly Nemecek, Purcell; Kevin O'Connor, Oklahoma City; Greg Phillips, Durant; Steve Smith, Wilburton; Brenda Spencer-Ragland, Lawton; Kyle Stafford, Calera; Theresa Stewart, Ada; Vanessa Thurman, Edmond; Dave Wagie, Shawnee; Cara Cowan Watts, Claremore; Darrell Weaver, Moore; and Eddie Wyant, Miami.
A class is selected each year from a wide geographic base representing diverse backgrounds. Members meet monthly for nine sessions in different communities throughout Oklahoma and are exposed to the many social, environmental and economic complexities of the state in order to stimulate inquiry, analysis and solutions for the public good. Leadership Oklahoma is a statewide organization founded in 1986 to create a network of leaders whose increased awareness and commitment to service will energize Oklahomans to shape the state's future. Over 1,120 members have graduated from the leadership program.
