Golf, wines, cuisine are fine for 'Chip in for a Cure'

Spectacular golf outings, a Las Vegas getaway, fine wines and fine dining will be among the items going home with guests of Chip in for a Cure casino fundraiser, from 7 p.m. to midnight Aug. 14 at the Stokely Event Center, 10111 E. 45th Place in Tulsa.
The Sooner Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's inaugural event is expected to draw more than 400 guests who will enjoy complimentary wine, Budweiser beer, margaritas and specialty dishes from 10 of Tulsa's newest restaurants.
There will also be casino games and "no limit Texas hold 'em" as well as great live and silent auction items.
Restaurants taking part include Elements Steakhouse, White Owl, Sonoma Bistro &Wine Bar, The Laughing Wench, Ciao, KEO, TiAmo Ristorante, Wing Run, Mahogany's Prime Steak House, Oscar's Gastropub and Leon's on the Restless Ribbon.
CF Junior Board President Kristy DeBoer is event chairwoman. Brad White is the poker tournament chairman and president-elect of the Junior Cystic Fibrosis board. Abigail Thomas is auction chairwoman.
Committee members include Amy Bullington, Josh DeBoer, Lauren Carter, Laurel Johnson, Jake Reid, Kathleen Barrett, Lo Detrich, Sara Smith, Beth Burnett, Teresa Fanning, Amanda Clinton, Justin Lund, Krista Derby, Marla Carter, Amy Bradshaw and Janea Butler.
Amy Blackwell, special events manager of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Sooner Chapter is coordinating the event.
Auctioneer Jay Litchfield will lead the bidding for such live auction items as a golf package to Phoenix/Scottsdale; golf foursome packages including Tulsa Country Club, Golf Club of Oklahoma, Meadowbrook Country Club, Cedar Ridge Country Club and more; BOK concert tickets (premier seating) and other getaways to surrounding casinos.

In 2008, the foundation achieved a coveted 4-star rating for sound fiscal management from Charity Navigator, the largest charity evaluator in the United States.
Casino Tickets to the event are $50 and the High Roller Tickets which includes a no limit Texas hold 'em fundraiser are $100. Corporate sponsorships are available.
