Much like "Riverdance," the Irish music extravaganza known as "Celtic Woman" started out as a one-time-only show that quickly became in an international phenomenon (thanks to the magic of public television). The current incarnation of the show, "Celtic Woman: Isle of Hope" comes to the Mabee Center, 7777 E. 81st St., 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The show features four vocalists and a fiddler who perform traditional Irish tunes, original songs by the show's creators and music directors, as well as hits made popular by everyone from Bobby Darin to Josh Grobin, backed by a full band and chorus.

Tickets are $47-$68. 495-6000.

Blue Bell Taste of Summer

You know it's summertime when Blue Bell Creameries invites the public for a day of festivities and ice cream.

Blue Bell's Taste of Summer is back with all-you-can-eat ice cream and fun. Only $4 at the gate buys you live music, a tour of the creamery, children's activities and as much ice cream as you can handle. There's even and ice-cream eating contest, for heavy hitters.

Children 5 and younger will be admitted free.

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Blue Bell Creameries, 8201 E. Oklahoma 51 (Old Highway 51). 258-5100.

Trek Expo 2009

Not even a newcomer playing a youthful (even cute) Spock could upstage Leonard Nimoy in J.J. Abrams' summer galaxy blockbuster, "Star Trek." The new visual effects and cast portraying the original crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise might have suffered some lack of credibility had it not been for Nimoy's onscreen appearance and blessing of this new voyage.

Nimoy is about to grace Tulsa with his presence, too, as the honored guest for Trek Expo 2009. It's three days of Klingon-speak, trekkie gear and lines of fans waiting for those few minutes of talk time with their favorite "Trek" and sci-fi heroes.

Nimoy will be at Trek Expo on Saturday only, but also look for Avery Brooks of "S.T.: Deep Space Nine," Marina Sirtis of "S.T.: The Next Generation," and John "Q." DeLancie also of "Next Generation." Check the Trek Expo site for appearance schedules and activites.

Friday-Sunday. John Q. Hammon Arena at the Union Multipurpose Activity Center, 6836 S. Mingo Road. See tulsaworld.com/trekexpo for pricing. 369-0650.
