Got a holiday event? See our new mini-site

The Tulsa World has a mini-Web site for holiday events of all shapes and sizes.

We've added a new category to our tulsaworld.com/calendar site, "holiday events." When you are entering a holiday event on our online calendar, select "holiday events" under category, and your event also goes to our Holiday Events mini-site.

The event site is a perfect spot for finding fun, too. It will contain Christmas light displays, special church services, fine art performances, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities and home and garden tips.

If you have an event to enter, go to tulsaworld.com/calendar and enter the information. Make sure to supply an event name, that it is a holiday event, where it's being held, any costs, and any other special information.

Check out the full holiday event list at tulsaworld.com/holidayevents .

Jason Boland coming to the Cain's

Friday night, Red Dirt icon Jason Boland and the Stragglers will perform with another icon, Randy Crouch, at the historic Cain's Ballroom. Doors open at 7:45 p.m., showtime is 8:30 p.m. All ages. Tickets start at $15, plus fees. For more information, visit tulsaworld.com/Cains .

Designer eyewear show scheduled

Hicks Brunson Eyewear at Utica Square will host trunk shows for Fendi and Coach from 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday.

The eyewear boutique is Tulsa's only Fendi Limited Edition partner, said store manager Daniel Brunson. Fendi designs a small handful of exclusive, luxury pieces of eyewear per year that are only available through a small number of retailers across the nation. These styles are often adorned with stones, rivets or other embellishments.

Coach is known for its clean, modern shapes with classic styling, Brunson said.

Representatives for both collections will be in the store. For more, call Hicks Brunson, 743-6478.
