Underwood part of 'CNN Heroes'

Checotah's Carrie Underwood will be among the performers and presenters scheduled to appear at the third annual "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute." The cable news network made the announcement Monday.
The annual event, airing at 8-10 p.m. Nov. 26 on cable 41, honors everyday citizens making a difference in their communities and the world. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will host from the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. Underwood and Leona Lewis will perform at the gala and celebrities Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Neil Patrick Harris, Pierce Brosnan, Dwayne Johnson, Eva Mendes, Randy Jackson and Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be among those presenting awards.
