Basketball: 66ers to hold tryout

The Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League have announced plans for an open tryout.

66ers season to tip off Nov. 22

The Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League tip off their season with back-to-back home games Nov. 22-23 against the Iowa Energy.

Highlight: The Tulsa 66ers were eliminated from the NBA Development League playoffs Sunday with a 113-106 semifinal loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

Seven 66ers scored in double figures behind Rasual Butler's 26 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

The 66ers outscored the Vipers 10-0 over a minute and thirty seconds to pull within five before Rio Grande Valley sunk a pair of free throws with 5.9 seconds left.

Keys: The Vipers made 19 3-point field goals and were led by D.J. Kennedy with 28 points.

Notes: Tulsa finished the regular season with a 27-23 record under first-year head coach Darko Rajakovic.
