A Broken Arrow woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to manslaughter and DUI charges linked to a crash that claimed one life and seriously injured another person.
Without the benefit of an agreement with prosecutors regarding punishment, Donna Louise Murphy, 46, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter and one count of driving under the influence and causing great bodily injury, records show.
Janie Hansen, 27, was fatally injured when she was driving south on Lynn Lane Road (177th East Avenue) after stopping at the 21st Street intersection in Tulsa on June 26, 2012, records show.
Murphy, who was intoxicated, was driving west on 21st Street, failed to stop at a stop sign, and collided with Hansen's vehicle, according to police and prosecutors.
A teenage passenger with Hansen sustained severe injuries, including brain bleeding, records show.
Murphy is free on bond and will be sentenced Oct. 21 by Tulsa County District Judge James Caputo.
