Officials with the youth league said the raffle was for a gift certificate at a gun shop, and the winner had to go through the appropriate background checks to redeem the gift certificate and receive the weapon.

BIXBY — The city of Bixby will open a free site to drop-off tree debris from last week's storm.

Hours Monday through Friday will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting Tuesday through Aug. 30. The disposal site is located on 131st Street halfway between Mingo Road and Garnett Road.

The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays — Aug. 11, 18 and 25th and will be closed on Sundays.

Only tree debris will be accepted. Residents must present a recent Bixby water bill for admission to the site.
