Bixby man who reportedly threatened father tasered by deputy

A Bixby man was arrested late Wednesday after he was tasered for allegedly trying to strangle his father and threatening a Tulsa County sheriff's deputy.
Eric Michael Pittman, 23 is being held in the Tulsa County Jail in lieu of $65,000 bond on first-degree burglary, domestic assault and battery by strangulation and threaten a violent act complaints.
Deputies were called to a home in the 14700 block of South Lewis Avenue to investigate a burglary.
The homeowner told deputies that Pittman broke in through the garage and removed a shotgun from the residence, before fleeing to a nearby barn on the property, according to an arrest report.
The report states that Pittman had his left arm around his father's throat "attempting to choke him out."
Deputies then used a Taser on Pittman after he made threats and refused orders to release his father, the report said.
During interviews with investigators, Pittman reportedly admitted that he had taken the shotgun from the home to commit suicide, but the weapon jammed after he pulled the trigger.
