A body was discovered near McLain High School on Wednesday afternoon.

The body was discovered about 2 p.m. by a crew mowing a vacant lot in the 4900 block of North Peoria Avenue, Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley said.

"We don't know if it's natural causes or not," Ashley said. "At this point all we know is that it's a male, but we can't determine age or race due to the decomposition of the body.

"With the weather, it was hard to tell how long it had been out here."

The Medical Examiner's Office will have to determine the cause of death, Ashley said.
