Books
If Jeff Kinney had not missed getting on a plane in May, it's possible he would not be making a trip to Oklahoma later this month.
It's been several years since the publication of Daniel Woodrell's slim, harrowing and much-celebrated "Winter's Bone." Now "The Maid's Version" has finally hit the bookstores, and it's even slimmer - just 164 pages.
Correction: A Sunday Tulsa World story incorrectly listed two events in the Book Ahead column. Steve’s Sundry, Books and Magazine, 2612 S. Harvard Ave., will have no book-signing events Saturday.
The Pryor Book Exchange, 3 N. Adair St. in Pryor, will host
Linda Teel, who will sign copies of her children's book "The Priceless Cup" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Teel's story is about a young girl named Madeline and the story her grandmother tells about Madeline's great-grandmother and her meeting with a king.
