Charles E. “Charlie” Corey, Jr., was born November 21, 1943, Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Charles Eugene Corey, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Hutchinson Corey. He died Saturday, September 7, 2013, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years. Charlie was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the McClain High School Class of 1961. He was very talented with a variety of electronics including televisions, radios, and others, spending most of his working life as an electronics technician with Television Service Center of Tulsa for over 40 years. He was married January 11, 2002, in Tulsa, to Beverly Smith. He enjoyed many pastimes including NASCAR, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved to sing karaoke and have a good time with his friends. He was a man with a kind heart who would do anything for anybody. Loving family members include: his wife; Beverly, of the home; four children, Tif- fany White and husband, Lonnie, of Bristow, OK, Scott Corey and wife, Sheila, of Tahlequah, OK, Charles “Chuck” Corey III, Lana Peters and husband, Shaun, of Broken Arrow, OK; seven grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Mackey and husband, David, of Anna, Texas, brother, Mike Corey and wife, Karen, of Collinsville, OK; mother-in-law, Yvonne Chandler, of Comanche, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made to The St. John Foundation for St. John-Owasso, 1923 South Utica Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74104.
