Oklahoma National Guard defies Pentagon on same-sex benefit requests

In a policy reversal, the Oklahoma National Guard will no longer process benefit requests from same-sex couples after being notified by Gov. Mary Fallin's office that doing so violates state law banning gay marriage.

Charles Lonzo Lacy, Jr., age 46 of Tulsa, OK, passed away September 12, 2013. Born October 6, 1966 in Cushing, OK. Former long-time employee of St. John Medical Center working as an MRI Tech. Loved golf, sports and racing. Loving husband, dad, son and friend. Survived by: wife, Kim Lacy; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Phillip Powell; father, Charles Lacy, Sr.; mother, Lacy Page; brothers, Nicholas and Nathanial Page; grandson, Andrew Powell; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
