Cox to televise annual Midfirst Backyard Bowl; live streaming also available

The Tulsa World is looking for photographers to shoot all the action surrounding high school football games — the fans, the bands, the mascots,
the cheerleaders and plays on the field.
Junior returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and had 419 all-purpose yards in a 47-33 victory over Tahlequah Sequoyah.
The Cox
Channel will televise next Friday’s 2013 Midfirst Bank Backyard Bowl football
game between Jenks and Union, according
to a Cox release.
The game kicks off at 7:05 p.m. from the
University of Tulsa’s Chapman Stadium and will be broadcast live on Cox channel
3 and 703 HD.
This year
for the first time, Cox will also live stream the game on Cox HS Hub. It also will be available demand on on Cox HS Hub and on The Spirit Channel (Tulsa channel 1600 and OKC
channel 2600).
Cox HS Hub is a website that was launched last year. In addition to
live streaming of high school games and events, the Hub also hosts archives of
past games, photo galleries, highlight reels and more.
The
broadcast team features Nathan Thompson on play-by-play, Rod Thompson as color
analyst and Mike Ziegenhorn reporting from the sidelines.
