Driller bits
Terrible birthday gift: Dustin Garneau's seventh-inning grand slam on Sunday was hit off of Cardinals reliever Danny Miranda, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday. The last homer Garneau had hit prior to Sunday was on August 14th, one day after his own birthday.
Injury update: Drillers manager Kevin Riggs said Sunday that he expects first-baseman Kiel Roling and shortstop Cristhian Adames to be back before the end of the regular season, which has eight games remaining. Riggs also confirmed that relief pitcher Isaiah Froneberger, who has not pitched since July 22nd due to forearm tightness, will not return to action this season. That leaves Tulsa currently with one left-handed reliever.

Pro - Drillers
The Tulsa Drillers didn't give up any home runs Friday night, but they were still battered by the Arkansas Travelers.
Arkansas Travelers outfielder Cyle Hankerd's baseball career has taken a dramatic turn during the past two months.
