A fire inside an apartment unit early Monday displaced an adult and three children, firefighters said.

Tulsa firefighters were called to a two-story apartment complex in the 1200 block of South Rockford Avenue about 7 a.m.

The blaze, concentrated in a den and then spread throughout the remainder of a single unit, forced the evacuation of a woman and three children, said Fire Capt. Jerry Benefield.

They were not harmed, he said.

The Tulsa chapter of the American Red Cross provided assistance at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
