Arvest Equipment Finance makes top 100 list
Six years after its founding, Arvest Equipment Finance, a division of Arvest Bank, has been ranked among the top 100 largest equipment finance and leasing companies in the U.S. by MonitorDaily, the leading publication of the equipment leasing and finance industry.
The Monitor 100 is published annually and ranks the largest equipment leasing and finance companies based on net assets and new business volume. The June report, published in the 2013 Monitor 100 Special Issue, ranks AEF 99th based on 2012 assets. AEF's 2012 net assets were up 2.4 percent from the previous year for a total of $123.5 million in loans and leases.
Arvest Bank operates more than 260 bank branches in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas through a network of 16 locally managed banks.
AmeriPride to use double-decker truck trailers
AmeriPride Services Inc., a leading supplier of linen and uniform rental services in North America, has added two double-decker semi-truck trailers to its fleet to positively impact the environment and reduce costs.
The trailers have 60 percent more capacity and will transport products between the production facility in Springfield, Mo., and its service centers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
This new semi-truck trailer deployment is a part of a larger company initiative to reduce energy consumption and operational costs. The company is testing various alternative fuel vehicles in many of its locations, including five compressed natural gas trucks in the Oklahoma City service center.
Based in Minnetonka, Minn., AmeriPride Services operates more than 115 production facilities and service centers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Retirement strategies focus of seminar
"Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement" will be the topic of an educational seminar presented by Northeastern State University Continuing Education.
The seminar will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday from Sept. 10 until Oct. 1 or every Thursday from Sept. 12 until Oct. 3 at the Broken Arrow campus in the Administrative Services Building, Room 170, 3100 E. New Orleans St. Cost is $49 per person, and people may bring a spouse or a guest at no extra cost.
Local instructors include James "Skip" Nichols, Phillip Bell and Donna Maddox of Financial Planning Resources Inc.
The seminar will focus on financial basics, retirement income, investments, risk management and estate planning. Everyone who attends is entitled to an optional retirement planning consultation after the course.

APSCO installs new $750,000 machine
Tulsa-based Air Power Systems Company (APSCO) is installing a new Mazak HCN4000 III Generation, a $750,000 machine that is the only one of its kind in the Tulsa area.
The new machine has a 12-station palletech system, which allows the company to run a multitude of jobs on a scheduling system of supply and demand. APSCO manufactures pneumatic cylinders, controls and valves for the mobile, truck equipment and automotive markets. Larry Mocha, a longtime supporter of small business and Oklahoma's manufacturing industry, is the CEO.
