Bengals defeat Steelers

An elusive rookie made all the difference by darting through the Steelers' defense.

Cowboys' loss in KC brings up talk of 2012 woes

The Dallas Cowboys followed a big win over the New York Giants in the opener with a worrisome loss on the road - just like last year.

Start these guys

Michael Vick, Philadelphia QB: Chip Kelly's offense looks like it might be a force in the NFL, and San Diego gave up plenty of yards to Houston quarterback Matt Schaub last week. At worst, Vick should match his numbers from last week, but I'd expect him to add another 75 yards or so and maybe another TD pass.

Steven Jackson, Atlanta RB: I think Jackson is going to have a big season. Things didn't start great last week against New Orleans, but this week he's up against his former team (St. Louis) on a runner-friendly surface in Atlanta. Expect big things.

Joique Bell, Detroit RB: Reggie Bush is going to get the bulk of the carries and more targets in the passing game, but Bell is going to get plenty of goal-line work and will stack up yards when Bush needs a breather. He's a great option in a flex spot.

Cecil Shorts, Jacksonville WR: He didn't do much last week, but this week he's against Oakland and there's a different QB throwing him the ball. Shorts is a solid start this week.

Sit these guys

C.J. Spiller, Buffalo RB: With where you drafted him, there's probably no way you're actually sitting Spiller. But temper your expectations. Last week, Carolina held Seattle to 70 yards rushing and no TDs. Fred Jackson will cut into Spiller's carries, which won't be a problem some weeks, but against the Panthers' defense, the production of Spiller and Jackson will be limited.

Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco QB: Here's another one you may not be able to bench, but if you have someone like Vick or Carson Palmer on your bench, you may want to consider it. He was great in Week 1 against Green Bay, but Seattle limited Cam Newton's productivity. I think they can do the same with Kaepernick.

Roddy White, Atlanta WR: He finally practiced Friday but is listed as questionable. Even if he plays, he'll be limited. Ankles are a nasty injury for receivers and running backs. If you have other options, it's safer to leave White on the bench until he's in better shape.
