A federal indictment has been filed against four men as a result of a two-year investigation conducted into the “107 Hoover Crips” street gang and its alleged criminal activities, prosecutors announced on Thursday.
Lorell Antonio Battle, 30, Paul Edward Battle, 31, Thomas L. Jackson, 27, and 18-year-old Gaywone Dekeith Blades, all of Tulsa, were charged with conspiring to distribute crack cocaine, according to an indictment posted on the Tulsa federal court website on Thursday.
Lorell, Battle and Blades are also accused of possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking and maintaining apartments in the 61st Street and Peoria Avenue area of Tulsa to distribute, store, and use crack cocaine.
In a news release, Northern District of Oklahoma U.S. Attorney Danny Williams Sr. and Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan emphasized the need for continuing the combined efforts of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in fighting the drug trafficking and violent gang activities in the 61st Street and Peoria Avenue area.
