In his letter, ("No One Listened," Aug. 31) Robert Leppelmeir made some inaccurate claims, inaccurate conclusions and key omissions. His intent was to exonerate George W. Bush for his war against Iraq.
Re: Baby Veronica story: Isn't it just a little odd that the same attorneys in Oklahoma City and South Carolina and the adoption agency are the same parties in the Desaray case in Oklahoma City and are now representing the Capobiancos.
The Tulsa World should consider renaming itself the Oklahoma World.
The Tulsa World's Sunday "GAME DAY" sports section only covers Oklahoma college football.
After getting past seven pages of University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, University of Tulsa and University of Arkansas college games, readers found that there are other college games on the last page.
That said, a reader would never know of the upset by Brigham Young University of OU-OSU rival, the University of Texas Longhorns, how well Texas A&M quarterback Jonathan Paul Manziel performed against Sam Houston State, or of sixth-ranked Texas A&M's biggest game of the year (Saturday) against two-time defending national champion Alabama.
We understand the needed coverage of Oklahoma teams, but football is a national sport that has no boundaries.
