A Broken Arrow man was arrested early Saturday, accused of pointing a gun at Broken Arrow police officers who were responding to a disturbance call.

William Andrew Ragan, 24, was arrested on a complaint of pointing a firearm with intent and jailed at 8 a.m. Saturday on $20,000 bail.

Ragan's arrest report indicates officers responded just before midnight Friday to a residence in the 1200 block of East Edgewater Street. When they arrived, police noticed a small amount of marijuana next to a kitchen sink, as well as the smell of burned marijuana. Two subjects were in the house, according to the report, Ragan and another man who was not arrested.

When officers knocked on the door, Ragan took the marijuana and ran upstairs, the report states. The other man did not allow officers in until being assured by 911 dispatchers that the men at the door were police officers.

When police entered, the man told them the marijuana wasn't his, that it belonged to people who had been at a party in the residence earlier in the night.

At that time, Ragan allegedly pointed a gun at the officers and told them to "get the (expletive) out of my house." One of the officers shielded his partner and ordered Ragan to drop the firearm.

After Ragan was arrested, officers discovered the firearm pointed at them had a bullet in the chamber, the report states.
