Tulsa police are searching for a masked man who reportedly robbed a dollar store early Wednesday.

Police were called about 7:20 a.m. to the Dollar General, 401 S. Lewis Ave., in response an armed robbery, Officer Leland Ashley said.

The manager told officers that a man carrying a gun confronted her as she was entering the store and forced her to open a safe, police said.

The robber then took an undisclosed amount of money before he fled on foot, Ashley said.

The manager was not injured, police said.

The robber was described as black or Hispanic, dressed in black clothing and wearing a mask from the horror film "Scream," police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or text TIP918 to CRIMES.
