A Tulsa man pleaded no contest Monday to a manslaughter charge linked to a fatal traffic collision three years ago.
Cody Allen Zimmer, now 24, will be sentenced Oct. 30 by Tulsa County District Judge William Kellough.
The crash happened Aug. 31, 2010, near Tulsa International Airport.
Prosecutors asserted that Zimmer was driving while impaired by medications.
His vehicle crossed the median on Oklahoma 11 just north of the Pine Street overpass and struck a vehicle driven by Charles John Kytta III, 32, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
A blood analysis showed that Zimmer had several prescription drugs in his system, including Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication; Flexeril, a muscle relaxer; Ambien, a sedative; and Celexa, an anti-depressant, police said.
Zimmer was charged in April 2011 and was released on bond.
He has no plea agreement with prosecutors and was jailed Monday to await sentencing.
