NORMAN – Blake Bell, fresh off the biggest passing performance of any first-time starting quarterback in Oklahoma history, was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week Monday.

Bell went 27-of-37 for 413 yards and 4 touchdowns in OU's 51-20 victory over Tulsa Saturday. The 413 yards eclipsed Sam Bradford's old first-time standard of 363 against North Texas in 2007.

Bell added 24 yards rushing to give him 437 yards of offense, the ninth-highest total in Sooners history.
