The Tulsa Oilers will play a preseason game against the Wichita Thunder at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Wichita Ice Center.

Hockey: Oilers add five

The Tulsa Oilers signed five players - defenders Andy Willigar and Andrew Himelson and forwards Neilsson Arcibal, Kyle Leahy, and Brett Skalski.

Highlight: The Missouri Mavericks used a three-goal surge in the second period to pull away from the Oilers and went on to post a 5-1 victory at the Independence (Mo.) Events Center on Friday night.

Keys: Ryan Barlock got the Oilers on the board at 7:59 of the third. The rookie defenseman received a feed from Gio Flamminio and fired the only shot of the game to sneak past Mavs goalie Mike Clemente.

Up next: Vs. Wichita, 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
