A young Owasso girl who fell into a pool last year, suffering brain damage while submerged, has died, according to family members who run a Facebook page dedicated to her.

The girl, 3-year-old Rosalie Goodwin, fell into the pool June 6, 2012, and battled injuries she sustained for more than a year before dying Friday.

Rosalie's page had nearly 55,000 followers, who received hundreds of updates on her condition as she fought to recover following her near-drowning.

Her parents released a statement on the Facebook page ( tulsaworld.com/rosaliegoodwin) Friday.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church of Owasso, under Mowery Funeral home.
