She’s the new face of the franchise and it’s fair to say she’s become something of a celebrity during a heralded Notre Dame basketball career.

Thirty-two eighth-grade girls celebrated graduation from the Tulsa Ballet's Cygnet Society during a recent presentation held during the matinee of A Ballet Russes Evening at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

As part of the Cygnet Society, which is named for a young swan, the girls spent a year doing fun-filled activities, making new friends and learning more about the ballet and giving back to their community.

Melissa Easterling and Melissa Sartin are 2012 Cygnet Society co-chairwomen.

Tulsa Ballet is now accepting applications for the Cygnet Society Class of 2013. Applications must be returned to Tulsa Ballet by May 25. The program is open to all young ladies entering eighth grade in the fall of 2012. Program size is limited.
