Phyllis Rae Lavendusky, 86, of Owasso, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born July 13, 1927 in Tulsa OK. She married Kenneth Lavendusky, November 1, 1948 and made their home in Owasso OK. Her mission in life was the love of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the many other kids in her life that also called her mom. Phyllis was blessed with an abundance of loving friends that were always special to her. Phyllis never met a Stranger. With her gift of gab throughout her life, she turned many acquaintances into Life Long friends. Phyllis was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She volunteered many hours supporting The Women of the Moose, The Elks Lodge and other civic organizations and was always devoted to helping others. She loved to crochet, play cards, dance and fish when they were biting. Phyllis is survived by: her husband, Kenneth of the home; one daughter Jill and three sons, Bobby, Jimmy and Randy. There are seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sisterin-laws, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. The celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held at the Life Church in Owasso, 14008 E. 96th St. North, Thursday, September 19th, at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to your favorite charity in her name. This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 9/15/2013.
