Tulsa County prosecutors on Wednesday continued to call witnesses who have stayed at the Fairmont Terrace apartment complex to testify at a preliminary in a quadruple homicide case.

Logan Ahmed, who testimony indicated has stayed in the apartment of Jamila Jones, took the witness stand Wednesday.

Jones has testified previously that James Poore said he shot one woman “and bro finished the other three” during a robbery at the Fairmont Terrace complex.

Jones has testified that Poore and his brother, Cedric Poore, returned to her Fairmont Terrace apartment after the shootings and divided up drugs, money and jewelry.

James Poore had lived with Jones in her apartment for several months before the slayings, she indicated.

The Poore brothers are each charged with four counts of first-degree murder.

The homicides occurred Jan. 7 in an apartment at the complex near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue.

Killed were Julie Jackson, 55; Misty Nunley, 33; Rebeika Powell, 23; and Kayetie Powell Melchor, 23. Rebeika and Kayetie Powell, who were sisters, lived in the apartment with Nunley, and Jackson had stopped by to check on them that day.

Several witnesses have testified previously that James Poore said he planned to “pull a lick” at the apartment to steal drugs and money. Cedric Poore’s wife and daughter have previously testified that James Poore confessed to shooting the women.

Wednesday was the sixth day of testimony in the preliminary hearing for James Poore, 32, and Cedric Poore, 39.
