A Sapulpa woman was arrested Tuesday after she reportedly struck a man on a curb and then crashed her car.

Police said 31-year-old Candice Weaver was traveling west on 11th Street at 73rd East Avenue about 9 a.m. when her vehicle jumped a curb and hit a man sitting on a railing, Tulsa Police Officer Jill Roberson said.

Weaver continued driving, ran a red light and crashed her vehicle into several street signs before stopping, she said.

She was apprehended by police in the 5100 block of East 11th Street, police said.

Weaver was booked into the Tulsa Jail on complaints of driving under the influence, failure to stop for a red light and hit-and-run.

The unidentified man was transported by EMSA to an area hospital, police said. His condition is unknown.
