Health department: One person contracted hepatitis C from Tulsa dentist

An investigation into a Tulsa dentist has revealed that one person contracted hepatitis C as a result of a visit to that practice, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health and Tulsa Health Department.

The bus had two occupants, a driver and an 8-year-old girl. The driver had a suspended license, police said.

SAPULPA -- Police have issued a Silver Alert for an 86-year-old woman who was discovered missing from a Sapulpa nursing home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Lena Dennis is described as white, about 5-foot-2, 132 pounds, with white hair and gray eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange, pink and red short-sleeve shirt, jeans, white socks and black shoes. She might have a headband on, according to the alert.

Dennis has limited speech ability.

She left the Ranch Terrace Nursing home, at 1310 E. Cleveland Avenue, on foot, authorities said.

She has a medical or physical disability and is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death, according to the Silver Alert.

Anyone who might have information about Dennis is asked to call the Sapulpa Police Department at 918-224-3862.
