MIDWEST CITY — Police report they have arrested six people, all Oklahoma City residents, in connection with a weekend homicide.
Police arrested Ashley Rene Craig, 17, Jarvis Jones, 19, DeMarkus Long, 19, Justin Woody, 19, Aaron Gaines, 19, and Ravan Craig, 19, on complaints of murder, conspiracy to commit a felony and robbery, Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said.
Police were called about 1:20 a.m. Saturday to 10002 Caton Place in reference to a woman being shot. Shirley Butler, 39, was shot after she answered a late-night knock at the front door, her husband, Kalvin Murray, told police. Murray's teenage son also was in the home, he said.
Butler was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
