Logan McCracken led the University of Tulsa men's team to a fifth-place finish Tuesday in the Columbia Regional Preview at The Club of Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo.

TU basketball: Fla. point guard commits to Hurricane

Mitchell Wilbekin, rated by Scout.com as a three-star national point guard prospect, confirmed on Monday night his commitment to the University of Tulsa basketball program.

Cristian Mata scored two goals and Omar Mata netted the game-winner to give Tulsa's 13th-ranked men's team a 3-2 overtime win over Hartwick on Sunday afternoon in the SMU Classic in Dallas. TU moved to 4-1-1 on the season, while Hartwick fell to 0-4-2 overall.

Omar Mata scored the game-winning goal at the 98:46 mark off a free kick from 20 yards out in the first overtime period.

Cristian Mata led the Hurricane attack with six shots, four of which were on goal, while Akeil Barrett and Tony Rocha had two shots apiece.

Tulsa had a narrow 15-14 lead in shots, including a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal, and a 4-2 lead in corner kicks.
