“We have always strived to feature marquee non-conference opponents on the Oklahoma schedule,” said OU athletics director Joe Castiglione said in a statement.
Despite posting a statistically even effort at the OU Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon, OU fell 5-0 to the North Texas Mean Green. Forward Rachel Holden put up a hat trick for North Texas (6-2-0) while the Sooners (3-5-0) were unable to capitalize off 13 shots (eight on goal).
