Shock Notebook: Foreign visitor

Basketball Australia manager Tamara Sheppard was in town to meet with Shock officials Thursday and discuss the responsibilities of Australian national players in international competition the next three years.

TAHLEQUAH— The Tulsa Shock is traveling to Tahlequah on Tuesday for practice.

Sequoyah High School graduate Angel Goodrich and the rest of the Tulsa Shock are holding a team practice at Sequoyah's The Place Where They Play. The practice will run from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The free event is open to the public.

Marcus Crittenden is Sequoyah Schools' athletic director. He says he is excited to have Goodrich and the Tulsa Shock returning. He says the Shock is a talented team and is looking forward to the game-like atmosphere.

The practice will be followed by a private autograph session for the Sequoyah basketball teams in attendance with the Shock players. Tulsa Shock's team mascot, Volt, will entertain the crowd.
