Bedlam Baseball will make two stops at ONEOK Field next spring.

Oklahoma State and Oklahoma will meet Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17 in Tulsa. The three-game series will open on May 15 in Oklahoma City’s Bricktown Ballpark.

“We are thrilled to host two games of the Bedlam Series at ONEOK Field next season,” said Tulsa Drillers general manager Mike Melega in a press release. “We appreciate the confidence the two schools are showing in the city of Tulsa to support a pair of games. Bedlam Weekend will certainly be one of the biggest events on the Tulsa sports calendar in 2014.”

In previous seasons, two games have been played in Oklahoma City and one game in Tulsa.

One of the reasons for the change may be attendance. The 2013 game in Tulsa drew 9,194 fans. By comparison, the Oklahoma City games drew 7,108 and 4,828 last season.

Over the past four years, ONEOK Field has averaged 9,300 fans while Bricktown Ballpark has averaged 7,079 fans. Tulsa’s lowest attendance during that stretch was 9,158 in 2012. Oklahoma City drew 4,283 two days later in 2012.
