A Tulsa man was arrested early Saturday after he reportedly dropped drugs and a loaded handgun while attempting to flee police following a traffic stop.

Elza Riley, 25, was booked into the Tulsa Jail at 1:30 a.m. Saturday on possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, trafficking a controlled dangerous substance and resisting arrest complaints, jail records show.

About 1 a.m., officers observed the driver of a Chevrolet Impala failing to stop at a stop sign in the 900 block of South Norwood Avenue, an arrest report says.

When officers stopped the car, the driver jumped out of the vehicle and then fled to the 1100 block of South Sheridan Road, the report says.

During the pursuit, he dropped a loaded 9 mm pistol and a bag found to contain 13 grams of cocaine before being captured in the 6300 block of East Ninth Street, the report states.

Riley remains in custody on $190,500 bail.

Riley has previous felony drug convictions, according to court records.
