SAPULPA — A Tulsa man and his father have been charged in Creek County in connection with the death of a woman who was reported missing from Kellyville two years ago.
James “Jimmy” Alan Alexander, 49, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Tina Brashear, 38, whose brother reported her missing on May 4, 2011.
Jack Alexander, 84, was charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder by allegedly helping his son conceal her body.
A witness in the case told authorities that Jimmy Alexander beat Brashear, his girlfriend, with a metal rod until she died, according to an affidavit filed in the case.
The slaying allegedly happened after the two were drinking and got into an argument about Brashear previously getting him arrested for assaulting her.
Brashear’s body is believed to have been buried in a hand-dug grave in a cemetery behind Jimmy Alexander’s house. The grave is marked with a headstone of his deceased brother Robert Alexander, who died on Christmas Day 2010 and was cremated.
The witness reported, however, that Robert Alexander’s cremated remains are in a box inside Jimmy Alexander’s house.
