Two people were transported to area hospitals following a head-on collision on the Broken Arrow Expressway along Yale Avenue near U.S. 169 early Thursday, Tulsa police said.

Just before 5 a.m., police said a car traveling westbound when it veered into the eastbound lanes and struck a truck head-on near the Yale Avenue exit.

Both drivers were taken to area hospitals by EMSA with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police said the female driver of the car was possibly under the influence at the time of the wreck, as marijuana was found in her car.
