Oklahoma senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin was named National Player of the Week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Tuesday.
Oklahoma senior Sallie McLaurin, of Midwest City, is the first player to be named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week three straight weeks. McLaurin powered the Sooners to a 3-0 week, as OU did not give up a single set. She hit .630 and totaled 38 kills, averaging 4.22 per set. On defense, McLaurin tallied 19 total blocks and five digs. For her career, McLaurin has nine Big 12 weekly awards, which is tied for fifth most in league history.
