On Monday, Oklahoma State announced the hiring of Charles E. Smrt to lead an independent review of alleged misconduct in the OSU football program.
A closer look
Some blast-from-the-past names were mentioned in Thursday's Sports Illustrated story on the alleged use of drugs among Oklahoma State football players.
Of the 30 former Cowboys who told SI they used marijuana while on the football team, three completed their eligibility at OSU, according to Tulsa World archives and other published reports. Half were booted from the team.
