Child neglect and drug charges were filed Monday against a woman and her boyfriend on allegations that methamphetamine was being made in the presence of her two children.
Rayla Jean Wenzler, 33, and Robert Scott Coyle, 41, are each charged with unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and unlawful use of video surveillance equipment while in the commission of a felony and two counts of child neglect, according to Tulsa County District Court filings.
Coyle is also charged with endeavoring to manufacture controlled drugs (methamphetamine), the filings show.
Prosecutors allege that the crimes occurred in Wenzler's apartment in the 6300 block of South Owasso Avenue on May 3 in the presence of her 9- and 10-year-old children.
Wenzler and Coyle were arrested that day, and the children were placed in the custody of the Department of Human Services, police said.
Wenzler and Coyle remain in the Tulsa Jail with bail set at $190,000 each.
