The view was pure Americana as I roamed around the Kendall-Whittier Fourth of July Celebration. An incredible experience of a community coming together to celebrate Independence Day. The community that gathered had volunteers to help children decorate their bicycles, first generation Americans, recent immigrants and residents that have lived in the neighborhood for years.
As a community journalist I live for assignments like this. Everywhere I turned there were photos of red, white and blue to be made.
