I photographed a princess tea party yesterday at the Scholl Center for Communication Disorders. Almost all the girls at the party had a Baha hearing device. When I arrived I photographed Ashley Jeffcoat putting a headband on her daughter Sadie Jeffcoat. I almost didn't photograph the scene, because I thought it would be just photo of a mom helping a girl dress up for the party. I didn't know if that would tell the story of a tea party for girls that wear this particular device. As it turned out, the hearing device is actually part of the headband, giving girls a stylish way to wear the device. I was happy I shot the photo. It is a lesson I constantly have to learn at work. If it is interesting shoot it.
