Animal heavyweights have their own kind of grace

Brazilian rider Guilherme Marchi prepares a rope before a Professional Bull Riders event at the BOK Center in Tulsa on Friday.

The 1,500 pound bulls of PBR aren't exactly nimble, but they have a certain grace that comes out in photos.

The animals, often sized like small cars, leap about while riders flail like ragdolls. Ropes, hooves and horns turn into a big blur.

But with a camera you can stop that whirlwind and see the interplay between the rider and bull.

You can read more about the Professional Bull Riders event in Sunday's paper. A reporter is spending time with champions from Brazil, a country that produces many of the sport's top competitors.
