I like many others love traveling great distances to discover exciting new places, I am after all from England.
When I first came to Oklahoma on a road trip back in 1997, it was exciting and I wanted to see everything in a short space of time.
I've now lived here for over 13 years, and like a lot of people, sometimes take for granted what there is to see in our own backyard.
I'm sometimes reminded of that when sent out to shoot assignments like last weekend when shooting various places around Claremore that are worth visiting, had I still been a tourist, I'd probably be more motivated to visit these places.
One such place I had never previously visited but was in awe of was the Belvidere Mansion, a charming and grand old mansion, close to downtown, I'm sure there are dozens if not hundreds of other hidden gems out there too.
