I was sent to photograph possible large crowds of customers at Chick Fil-A near 71st and Garnett yesterday, while there I stumbled onto a group of protesters upset about remarks made by the company's CEO about traditional marriage.
Usually we photographers stick out like a sore thumb, but the protesters had been confronted by one of Chick Fil-A's supporters which started an intense discussion about the gay marriage issue, they didn't seem to notice me.
It's been awhile since I've shot any kind of protest/confrontation but I never thought I would shoot one involving a fast food chain and gay marriage, the news always surprises.
