Once in a super moon

By JAMES GIBBARD Staff Photographer on Jun 24, 2013, at 2:24 PM  Updated on 6/24 at 2:31 PM

This past weekend the moon appeared bigger and brighter in what is described as a 'supermoon', and not only was the night sky brighter, incredible detail could also be seen on the moons surface even with the naked eye.
I saw the 'supermoon' at 11pm after leaving the cinema so I didn't get to see some of the incredible hues you get around dusk, nor did I get any earthly objects in my photograph, but I was impressed never the less.
