Many items will be 50 percent off on Saturday, the last day for the spring Just Between Friends sale.

You're not going to run out of things to do this weekend. It will be easy to keep yourself, and the kids, busy with happenings around town. The best part? They're all free for kids.

1. Grab a yardstick and explore the rows of nearly 500 exhibits at the Greater Tulsa Home and Garden Show. Adults will have to pay admission, but kids younger than 12 are admitted free. It's a good place to gather inspiration for the new deck you've been wanting to build or the playroom you would like to redecorate for the kids.
Greater Tulsa Home and Garden Show
When: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday
Where: QuikTrip Center at Expo Square, 4145 E. 21st St.
Cost: $8 for adults. Free for kids younger than 12

2. A week after the celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday, the party continues. The Simon Kidgits Club at Woodland Hills Mall is celebrating the 75th anniversary of Dr. Seuss' first children's book, "And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street." On Saturday, families can listen to a book reading, have their pictures taken with a backdrop of Dr. Seuss characters and make a Dr. Seuss-inspired craft.
Dr. Seuss Celebration at Woodland Hills Mall
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday
Where: Near Dillard's at Woodland Hills Mall, 71st Street and Memorial Drive
Cost: Free

3. Saturday's the last day of the Just Between Friends' spring consignment sale. It's true the selection won't be as huge as it was on opening day, but what it lacks in variety it makes up for in savings. Many items are 50 percent off, which means you can save a ton on children's clothing, shoes, toys and maternity items. On Friday, many items will be marked down 25 percent.
Just Between Friends children's and maternity consignment sale

Where: Exchange Center at Expo Square, 4145 E. 21st St.

4. Parents all over Tulsa make a date the second Saturday of each month for Philbrook Museum's family days. Admission, which is normally $9 for adults, is free on these days, plus the museum is filled with activities, art projects and fun things for kids and parents to do together. Even if you don't have kids in tow, these second Saturdays are a great chance to check out all the museum has to offer.
Free admission at Philbrook
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday
Where: Philbrook Museum, 2727 S. Rockford Road

5. Whether you're expecting a baby or already have children, Baby Fest is a fun one-day event showcasing products, classes and services for families. Strollers are welcome at this event where you can get ideas for everything from cloth diapering to summer camp. Kids will like the live entertainment, crafts and petting zoo.
