All the experts had LeSean McCoy as a top 5 running back. After five games, he has two 100 yards games and only 1 rushing touchdown. A lot of busts this season, but McCoy is near the top of the list.
Can anyone name the second wide receiver for the Colts? Me, neither. So although every defense knows Reggie Wayne is the only legitimate offensive threat on this team, he is killing it this year. That is what you call a gamebreaker.
Speaking of the Colts, Andrew Luck is playing better than Peyton Manning did as a rookie. A couple reasons why, including him being a better athlete, an effective runner (he rushed for a score) and throwing a ton of passes (55 this week). With Robert Griffin III concussed, you have a new rookie of the year.
Mike Shanahan hasn't done so far what he always does. He's stuck with one running back. Alfred Morris had another 100 yard game against the Falcons. Another stat that might surprise you? He drives a 1991 Mazda 626 to work every day. It's worth about $1,300.
Matt Cassel got hurt and you could hear some fans cheer. Sure, every radio show and Chiefs message board called for him to be benched after another year of starting off slow and having too many turnovers. But what coaches realize and fans don't is that Brady Quinn is the backup. He's not much better, folks.
